Gas-fired Pieces

This section collects all the cone 10 reduction, gas-fired pieces currently available. Gas-fired reduction is a high-temperature ceramic firing process reaching about 1305 °C, where the supply of oxygen in the kiln atmosphere is deliberately restricted. This reduction atmosphere alters how clays and glazes mature, producing effects such as deep iron reds, celadons, and copper reds. It is especially valued for creating rich, varied glaze colors and textures that differ from those in oxidation firings.
